December in Singapore has always been my favourite. Weather is cool. In December, uou look forward to the new year. When I was stationed overseas a few years back, I always made it a point to make a trip back to Singapore in December. I would usually take a week off. For that week, I would hang out at my favourite cafe - used to be coffee bean at the old Paragon. It is also the time of the year to list your achievements of the year and set goals for the new year. I always feel that something good is about to happen in December. The new year will be another excellent year. However, for the past few years, I have forgotten that I used to like December. I was missing the exuberance that December used to bring me. For the last few years, I felt someone had taken over the steering wheel and driving my life. It was a crazy ride. This year, that feeling is back again. I took a week off to wander the streets of Singapore. That feeling of something good is about to happen in the new year is back again. I can feel the grip of the steering wheel again.
